The 2015 Spring meeting of the MBC was held Saturday, April 11th at the Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Worcester.
We began with a pot luck dinner with plenty of food and sweets for everybody. How can you beat food like that!
Following the dinner, our president Howard Hoople led the business meeting.
We had two featured speakers. Kevin Keegan and Ben Gagliardi presented some interesting findings from their recent work as graduate students in David Wagner’s Entomology Lab at the University of Connecticut. Kevin described his adventures with Northern Metalmarks in Connecticut, and Ben provided a summary of his findings from his two-year project with Oak Hairstreaks at Great Blue Hill. If we can get a link to their findings, we will add it here later.
Many thanks to all who volunteered and attended.
Below are some photographs taken at the meeting. The last four poor quality photos of the speakers were taken by Anonymous; all other photos were taken by Barbara Volkle.
